Award-Winning Commercials Mark First Telly Awards in Boone Memorial Health History

Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is proud to announce that it has been honored with three Telly Awards for its outstanding marketing campaigns. The awards recognize excellence in video and television across all screens, and BMH is delighted to have been acknowledged in the following categories:

  • Silver Award in the Business-to-Consumer – Local TV category for the “BMH Specialty Campaign”
  • Bronze Award in the Business-to-Consumer – Local TV category for the “Choose Boone” campaign
  • Bronze Award in the Hospital – Local TV category for the “Introducing Boone Memorial Health” campaign

All three campaigns were produced by Barnes Health, a division of Barnes Agency, which serves as Boone Memorial Health’s marketing and public relations agency of record.

Ray Harrell, BMH General Counsel and Chief External Affairs Officer, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are deeply honored and grateful to receive this recognition. Marketing is a powerful form of storytelling, and the dedication and passion of our team, including our partners at Barnes Health, make it a privilege to share the Boone Memorial Health story.”

The Telly Awards, now in their 45th year, annually showcase the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. This year, the awards received over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents, making it one of the most competitive seasons to date. Entrants are judged by The Telly Awards Judging Council—an industry body of over 250 leading experts including advertising agencies, production companies, and major television networks.

BMH President and CEO Virgil Underwood added, “This is the first time in our 60-year history that BMH has received Telly Awards, and it underscores the exceptional efforts of our External Affairs team in telling our story and sharing the vital services we provide to our community. Expanding access to care is a crucial aspect of our mission, and these campaigns help us connect with our patients and community in meaningful ways.”

This year’s winners include Adobe, Calvin Klein, ESPN, LinkedIn, Mother Jones, MTV Entertainment Studios, NASA, the LA Clippers (NBA), PlayStation Studios, and more. BMH is the only critical access hospital in West Virginia to receive Telly Awards for the current season.
