Boone Memorial Health was honored to host a meaningful Donate Life Flag Raising Ceremony in recognition of Donate Life Month, bringing together staff, community members, and partners to honor those who have given the gift of life and to raise awareness for the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation.
The ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the impact one decision can have—not only for recipients, but for families and entire communities. Attendees gathered in support, shared stories, and reflected on the life-changing difference that donation makes every day.
We extend our sincere gratitude to those who helped make this event possible, including Karlie Belle Price, Director of Marketing & Public Relations; Raymond Harrell, General Counsel & Chief External Affairs Officer; Beth Kinser, Executive Director of Legal Operations & External Relations; Halee White, BMH Marketing Coordinator; Samantha Shawley-Brzoska, Director of Population Health; Tom Bias, BMH Board of Directors; Tara Woods, Professional Services Liaison with CORE; Cassandra Browning, Executive Director of Nursing Services; and Stephanie McDougal, Chief Nursing Officer.
We also recognize Dustin Smith, recipient, and Brandi Smith, donor, for their inspiring connection to the mission of Donate Life, as well as Liam Kinser for providing music during the ceremony.
Special thanks to the BMH Dietary team for their support, and to Sarah Blosser for the beautiful cookies that added a thoughtful touch to the event.
Events like this reinforce Boone Memorial Health’s ongoing commitment to education, awareness, and advocacy surrounding organ donation. Through continued outreach and community engagement, we strive to encourage more individuals to learn about donation and consider registering.
One “yes” has the power to save and heal lives. If you have not yet registered as an organ donor, we encourage you to take a moment to do so and make a lasting difference.
