BMH earns more 2026 Telly Awards than any other health system in West Virginia
Boone Memorial Health (BMH) has earned five Silver Telly Awards in the 47th Annual Telly Awards competition, which celebrates excellence in video and television production worldwide. It is the third consecutive year the health system has been recognized in the national competition.
“Every one of these award-winning campaigns reflects what we believe at BMH: that care is built on relationships, not transactions,” said BMH President and CEO Virgil Underwood. “Our marketing team and our agency partner, Barnes Health, have a real gift for telling the stories of the people we serve and the people who care for them. These honors show that message is resonating far beyond southern West Virginia.”
The 2026 competition drew nearly 14,000 entries from 55 countries, the most in the program’s history, and was evaluated by a Judging Council of more than 250 working video and television industry leaders. Winners are recognized across three tiers: Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
Produced in collaboration with Barnes Health, all five of BMH’s winning entries earned Silver honors:
- BMH Image 60 TV 2026 (Category: General-Hospital)
- BMH Women’s Health – :60 Gynecology (Category: General-Hospital)
- BMH Robotic-Assisted Surgery (Category: General-Hospital)
- BMH Women’s Health (Category: Campaign-Business-to-Consumer)
- BMH Women’s Health – Every Season (Category: General-Hospital)
“Providing exceptional care can only help the people who know it’s available,” said Ray Harrell, BMH General Counsel and Chief External Affairs Officer. “Telling our story effectively is how our neighbors learn that advanced care is offered close to home, and for a marketing and communications team, that is among the most important work we can do.”
The recognized campaigns reflect BMH’s sustained investment in women’s health and advanced surgical care, services the health system continues to grow under its Vision 2030 Strategic Plan to bring specialty care closer to home. Many of those services are strengthened by BMH’s partnerships with respected health systems across the state, whose collaboration helps bring that care to patients throughout southern West Virginia.
BMH joins a 2026 Telly Awards roster that includes Paramount TV, Warner Bros. Discovery, FOX Entertainment, Mayo Clinic, TED, and Al Jazeera, underscoring the caliber of the field.
