Boone Memorial Health is proud to recognize Angela Sharp, Clinical Coordinator at Family Medical Center, as one of the recipients of the prestigious McClogan-Dickerson Scholarship, presented by the Boone Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at American Public University, Angela is expected to graduate in 2027. She has been a valued member of the Boone Memorial Hospital family on and off since 2017 and is committed to continuing her education while serving patients throughout the community.

Angela’s long-term goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner; a dream she is pursuing one step at a time while raising her two children.

“I am taking smaller steps toward that goal while raising my two beautiful children,” Angela shared. “Once they are both in school, I plan to continue my education and pursue my Nurse Practitioner degree.”

With a passion for healthcare and a special interest in cardiology, Angela believes that lifelong learning is essential to providing exceptional patient care.

“I believe it is important for nurses to continue their education to provide the highest quality of care,” she said. “Being able to expand my knowledge, educate others, and support my patients throughout their journey is one of the most rewarding parts of my career.”

Receiving the McClogan-Dickerson Scholarship is both a meaningful honor and an investment in her future.

“I am incredibly honored and grateful to be one of the two recipients of the McClogan-Dickerson Award,” Angela said. “Over the years, I have admired the Boone Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Committee and all they do to support our community and BMH employees. As a mother of two, the BMH Auxiliary Scholarship will help ease the financial burden of continuing my education, allowing me to stay focused on achieving my goals.”

She expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the Auxiliary for its continued support of employees pursuing higher education.

“Thank you for your generosity and encouragement. I sincerely appreciate this honor, your investment, and the opportunity the scholarship provides.”

Boone Memorial Health congratulates Angela Sharp on this well-deserved recognition and wishes her continued success as she advances her nursing education and works toward becoming a Nurse Practitioner. The organization is proud to support employees who are committed to lifelong learning and improving the health and well-being of the communities they serve.
