Why Mammograms Are Important
The American Cancer estimated that 310,720 women will be diagnosed with new, invasive cases of breast cancer in the United States in 2024. It is the most common cancer diagnosed in American women according to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
The more positive news is that breast cancer is highly treatable when detected early.
3D Mammography Technology Can Detect Breast Cancer in Its Earliest Stages
Because early detection is so important, Boone Memorial Health is proud to offer southern West Virginian women access to the latest 3D mammogram technology. 3D mammograms make detection of breast cancer in its earliest stages possible with clearer, more precise, layered images.
Boone Memorial Health’s 3D technology also addresses an important factor for many women – comfort during their screenings. Our equipment has an ergonomic design that offers a faster, quieter exam with greater comfort and less pain during compression.
