Dr. Douglas is an experienced Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist whose primary focus at Boone Memorial Health will be the evaluation and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea in adults at Boone Memorial Health through use of simple, minimally invasive procedures and innovative technology.

Dr. Douglas will perform the following procedures at BMH:

• Inspire® Therapy – Inspire® therapy is a mask-free solution for people with obstructive sleep apnea who have tried and struggled with tolerating use of a CPAP. Through a simple-to-use system, Dr. Douglas will perform a minimally invasive procedure to implant an Inspire® device comfortably inside your body. The device then works with a remote control and app to sense when you take a breath and gently stimulates airway muscles during sleep to help keep the airway open, allowing patients to breathe more naturally throughout the night. Patients can easily turn the therapy on before sleep and off when they wake, while also sharing therapy data with their provider.
• Drug Induced Sleep Endoscopy (DISE) – This simple airway exam is used to evaluate and confirm whether a patient can qualify for Inspire® therapy.
