Boone Memorial Health’s fifth annual Community Drive-Thru Thanksgiving Dinner, hosted Monday, Nov. 24 at Scott High School, met with a record turnout.
Boone Memorial Health’s fifth annual Community Drive-Thru Thanksgiving Dinner, held Monday, Nov. 24 at Scott High School, welcomed its largest turnout to date.
With the efforts of the BMH Dietary Department and more than 150 dedicated volunteers, 5,075 complimentary hot meals were served. Each meal included turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, rolls, cranberry sauce, and cake—fresh, warm, and ready for families to enjoy.
“This event has truly become a cherished tradition for our region,” said Virgil Underwood, Boone Memorial Health President and Chief Executive Officer. “Each year, our team and volunteers come together with tremendous heart and purpose. We are grateful for everyone who lends their time and effort to make this meaningful outreach possible for our community.”
Since its launch in 2021, Boone Memorial Health’s Drive-Thru Community Thanksgiving has continued to grow:
