Laboratory Services

Our laboratory staff is here to help you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We bring over 236 years of combined Laboratory experience. Led by Pathologist Summer Blount, MD, in collaboration with Charleston Area Medical Center Vandalia Health, we take pride in providing the highest standard of care to our patients.

Boone Memorial Health and its Laboratory are accredited by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (TJC).

Lab Services

A written order or electronic lab order from your doctor is required for testing. Appointments are not necessary for outpatient testing services.

Electronic lab requisitions can be submitted via fax to 304.369.1230. We utilize reputable reference laboratories, including CAMC LabWorks and Mayo Laboratories.
