Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is pleased to welcome Dr. Lisa Skinner, a board-certified gynecologist and certified menopause practitioner, to its growing team of specialty providers.
With nearly three decades of experience, including 18 years in private practice in Charleston, W.Va., Dr. Skinner brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and passion for women’s health to Boone County. She offers comprehensive care for women of all ages — from preventive wellness exams and menopause management to advanced gynecologic surgery.
“Appalachia is incredibly underserved for many different specialties, but especially women’s health,” said Dr. Skinner. “The ability to access a surgical operating room of this caliber with the people that are here is just an incredible gift to this area. I’m hoping that by bringing my services to Boone County, I’ll be able to continue doing my job while making a bigger impact to an area I love deeply.”
Dr. Skinner is board certified in gynecology by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and holds The Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) credential, the only certification in menopause care recognized by The Menopause Society. She also has special surgical interests in minimally invasive procedures, laparoscopic surgery, uterine ablations, and hysterectomies.
Dr. Skinner provides services at Boone Memorial Health that include:

- Treatment for gynecologic & urinary conditions
- Menopause & perimenopause care
- Minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries
Dr. Skinner is now seeing patients at Boone Memorial Health Medical Clinic in Madison, located at 660-A South Main Street, beside the Madison Post Office. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 304.369.1230.
