Boone Memorial Health was honored to take part in the Women’s Wellness Luncheon that the Boone County Health Department and Wellpoint recently hosted to celebrate women’s health and well-being.
Held at the Boone County Health Department in Danville, W.Va., the event brought together women from across the region for an afternoon of education, wellness resources, and community connection.
One of the featured speakers was Dr. Lisa Skinner, MD, MSCP, a board-certified gynecologist and certified menopause practitioner at Boone Memorial Health. Joining her as a speaker was Kathy J. Hill, MSN, APRN-BC, Boone County’s Health Officer. Together, the speakers shared valuable guidance on heart health, the importance of annual wellness visits, menopausal health, and more.
In addition to the speaker sessions, the BMH Population Health Department presented each participant with a complimentary blood pressure cuff, provided by the American Heart Association.
Attendees also enjoyed:
- A complimentary lunch
- A gift bag for the first 25 women
- Vendor tables from local organizations
- Raffle prizes and community networking
Boone Memorial Health proudly had strong on-site representation from:
- BMH Gynecology
- BMH Population Health
- BMH Marketing & Public Relations
- BMH Farmer’s Market / Market on Main
These departments connected with guests to share resources and reinforce our shared commitment to whole-person wellness.
