Boone Memorial Health is proud to announce that Chief Financial Officer Cole Malcolm, CPA, has been appointed to serve as a Director on the Concord University Foundation Board for a three-year term.

The Concord University Foundation, Inc. is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1974 to support Concord University, its students, and its campus through charitable giving, endowment management, and alumni engagement. Over the years, the Foundation has grown into a significant resource for the university, managing a $66.8 million asset base, including a $64.4 million investment portfolio that helps fund scholarships, faculty development, and campus improvements. Most recently, the Foundation successfully completed the CU Ascend Campaign, raising more than $16 million to advance student success and strengthen the university’s long-term future.

As CFO of Boone Memorial Health, Malcolm plays a vital role in overseeing the organization’s financial operations and strategic growth initiatives. His appointment to the Concord University Foundation Board reflects both his professional leadership and his continued commitment to supporting education and community development across southern West Virginia.

Malcolm, a Concord University alumnus, shared that the opportunity holds both professional and personal significance.

“As a healthcare executive, I’ve seen firsthand how institutions like Concord anchor the economic and professional fabric of rural communities. But for me it’s also personal, Concord is where my career began, and the education and experiences I gained there set the trajectory for everything that followed throughout my professional journey,” said Malcolm. “Joining this board is my opportunity to give back and repay what Concord provided me, and I couldn’t be more excited to help ensure that the next generation of students leave Concord just as well-equipped to make their mark as I was.”

Boone Memorial Health congratulates Malcolm on this accomplishment and looks forward to the positive impact his leadership and experience will bring to the Concord University Foundation and its mission to support future generations of students.
