Free Drive-Thru Event Set for November 24 at Scott High School.

Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is once again inviting the community to celebrate the season of gratitude with its Annual Drive-Thru Thanksgiving Dinner, scheduled for Monday, November 24, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Scott High School in West Madison. Participants should enter the school from Fourth Avenue.

Now in its fifth consecutive year, the event has become a beloved tradition—bringing free, hot, ready-to-eat Thanksgiving meals served with care by BMH staff and volunteers to the community.

A Tradition of Gratitude and Service

With food prepared by the BMH Dietary Department and supported by more than 150 volunteers, this year’s meal will include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, and dessert. Meals are complimentary and available through a convenient drive-thru “Grab & Go” format, with walk-up service available for those without transportation.

“We are so proud that this event has grown into such a successful annual tradition in our community,” said Virgil Underwood, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boone Memorial Health. “We are grateful to our staff and the many volunteers who come together each year to organize and execute such a special outreach for our community.”

Growing Impact Year After Year

Since launching in 2021, Boone Memorial Health’s Community Thanksgiving event has grown exponentially—serving thousands of meals each year to local residents across Boone County and beyond.

  • 2021: 1,700 meals served
  • 2022: 2,500 meals served
  • 2023: 3,600 meals served
  • 2024: 4,867 meals served

This year, BMH hopes to serve even more, continuing its mission to support community wellness—not just through healthcare, but through heartfelt connection and compassion.
