Boone Memorial Health (BMH) participated in the second annual Donna L. Skeen Senior Expo, held June 26–27, 2025, at the Beni Kedem Temple in Charleston, West Virginia.
As part of its commitment to community health and outreach, BMH offered the following services and resources during the event:
- Brighter Futures Mobile Unit Tours
Focused on substance use and mental health treatment, the mobile unit was showcased to help community members learn about access to these crucial services. - Diabetes Education
Informational materials and one-on-one education were provided to promote awareness, prevention, and management of diabetes. - Healthy Food Sampling
Attendees received healthy food samples throughout the day, each accompanied by recipes to encourage nutritious eating habits at home. - Blood Pressure Checks
Free on-site blood pressure monitoring was available to all participants. - Discounted Blood Work
A suite of laboratory tests was offered at discounted rates, including a complete blood count (CBC), comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid panel, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), hemoglobin A1c, prostate-specific antigen (PSA), and testosterone level.
