Boone Memorial Health celebrates achievement of two awards at the November West Virginia Counseling (WVCA) Fall Conference and Retreat held at Glade Springs Resort.

The BMH Brighter Futures Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment Program received the 2024 WVCA Community Impact Award.
The Community Impact Award celebrates a West Virginia organization that has made a significant, positive impact on the mental health community. Brighter Futures stood out for its groundbreaking work in addressing substance use and mental health issues in Boone County. The program’s mobile unit, the first of its kind in the state, is transforming care delivery by bringing substance use and mental health treatment directly to rural communities that are often underserved and hard to reach.
Jessica Belcher, R.B.A., Brighter Futures Grant Data Analyst & Case Manager, proudly accepted the Community Impact Award on behalf of the Brighter Futures team.
James Frame, LPC was honored with the WVCA Excellence in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Award.
James, a BMH Brighter Futures Licensed Professional Counselor, received the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Awards based on his exceptional skills, knowledge, and dedication to providing top-quality care in our community. James’ commitment to mental health in West Virginia has made a lasting difference.
James and Jessica are both members of the WVCA, and Boone Memorial Health could not be more proud of the contributions that they, together with the entire Brighter Futures team, continues to make in breaking down barriers to care and improving lives in Boone County.
