On September 25, 2025, communities across all 50 states came together for the first-ever national Save a Life Day—a day dedicated to free naloxone distribution and overdose prevention education. In partnership with Boone County QRT, our BMH Brighter Futures team set up at multiple Boone Memorial Health clinic locations and the main hospital campus.

On Save a Life Day, the BMH team:

  • Distributed 141 boxes of naloxone
  • Provided hands-on education about how and when to use it
  • Shared information on treatment and recovery resources available locally

Every box handed out represents another chance to save a life. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and took steps toward building a healthier Boone County.

Brighter Futures is a Substance and Mental Health Treatment Program operated by Boone Memorial Health that cares for patients working to recover from substance use disorders. For more information about the comprehensive services it provides, click here.
