Angie Christian, Chief Operating Officer of Boone Memorial Health (BMH), was one of 10 individuals named to the WV Executive magazine 2026 Health Care Hall of Fame on Mar. 3 during an event at the University of Charleston.
The WV Executive Health Care Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in the health care industry and its supporting fields. Nominees must have made a significant contribution to the state’s health care industry and demonstrate a passion for making West Virginia a healthier place to live.
“I am truly honored to be recognized by WV Executive,” Christian said. “This recognition reflects the incredible team I have the privilege of working with at Boone Memorial Health and the support of my family, who have encouraged me throughout my career. Every day, we are focused on making sure the patients and families in our communities have access to the high-quality care they deserve, close to home.”
A lifelong West Virginian, Christian has dedicated her career to improving health care access and services for rural communities. Throughout her time at Boone Memorial Health, she has served in several leadership roles and has helped guide the organization through periods of growth while strengthening its mission to provide high-quality care close to home.
“Angie’s story is one of hard work, dedication, and a genuine passion for serving rural communities,” said Virgil Underwood, President and CEO of Boone Memorial Health. “She has built an impressive career through hands-on experience and strong leadership, and her commitment to improving healthcare for the people of southern West Virginia has made a lasting impact on our organization and the communities we serve.”
