BMH Sleep Center

Why go another night without restful sleep? Let our team get you back on track to better sleep and better health.

Snoring, daytime sleepiness, mood changes… If this sounds like you, talk to your primary care doctor about a referral for a sleep study at the BMH Sleep Center.

Sleep studies use advanced technology to monitor and record information about your sleep that helps specialists diagnose and treat sleep disorders. Quality sleep is vital to good health and well-being. Research shows that not getting enough sleep places a tremendous strain on your body and overall health.

Chronic lack of sleep, or getting poor quality sleep, increases the risk of developing certain disorders, including high blood pressure (hypertension), cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, depression, dementia, and cancer.

When left unmanaged, insufficient sleep reduces quality of life, productivity, and even life expectancy. A sleep study can give you the solutions you deserve.

To get evaluated for a sleep disorder, you may be asked to stay overnight in a private bedroom at the BMH Sleep Center. The overnight evaluation helps our specialists diagnose a sleep disorder and recommend a treatment plan.

During the noninvasive overnight stay, clinicians monitor heart rate, breathing, sleep patterns, muscle movement, brain waves, and oxygen levels to uncover potentially dangerous sleep disorders.

Sleep studies and evaluations are currently available for adults only.

Our state-of-the-art Sleep Center offers evaluations, overnight sleep testing, and specialized daytime sleep testing. Testing is performed in one of two private rooms that are setup like a typical bedroom in your home. For a comfortable stay, each room is equipped with a full-size bed,  flat-screen TV, and a bathroom.

The BMH Sleep Center is conveniently located on the Boone Memorial Hospital campus directly across the street from the main hospital (in the Specialty Building).
