Hospital Employees at Boone Memorial hosted the 2nd Annual Spring Clean during the week of April 22nd - April 26th.

Chief Operating Officer, Mark Linville, came up with the idea last year. 

"I thought it would be a good way to keep our hospital looking vibrant and new, just like the day we opened in 2016. Plus it's a great morale booster and promotes teamwork. Several departments came together to make the event a success," said Linville.

On Tuesday, April 23rd, approximately 40, fifth grade students from Ramage Elementary School visited Boone Memorial Hospital.

Students were placed in two separate groups and led on a one-hour tour throughout the facility by Human Resource Director, Kelley Epling and Marketing and Public Relations Director, Karlie Belle Price. 

"The students were very well behaved and respectful throughout the entire tour," said Price.

Angie Christian joined the Administrative Team at Boone Memorial Hospital on March 4, 2019 as the Executive Director of Ancillary Services. She will direct all aspects of Inpatient Pharmacy, Laboratory, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Infusion, Respiratory Therapy, Cardiac Rehabilitation, and Dietary.

Tekisha Eubanks, 28, of Chapmanville West Virginia was the key note speaker at Boone Memorial Hospital's CORE Flag Raising Ceremony held Thursday, April 11th. CORE (Center for Organ Recovery & Education) events take place across the United States each year in April to celebrate Donate Life Month.

At its February meeting, Boone Memorial Hospital Board of Directors pledged two-hundred and fifty thousand dollars to combat the addiction epidemic in rural West Virginia.

“Part of our mission is to promote wellness and health to benefit the community at-large,” said Board President Bob Brown. “We feel it’s important and necessary for Boone Memorial Hospital to uphold its mission by becoming a key player in the fight against addiction.”
