Boone Memorial Hospital
While the Boone Memorial team has long been dedicated to clinical advancement
and community service, its original hospital reached the end of its viability as a 21st century healthcare facility.
Hospital and county leaders, feeling strongly that Boone County citizens and neighboring counties deserve a fresh new hospital, moved forward with plans
to construct a new modern hospital, which opened to the public on June 25, 2016.
The USDA provided the majority of funding through a $37 million loan.
The new facility – designed with direction and feedback from BMH employees and physicians – is a welcoming, patient-centric hospital ensuring departments and services have adequate space and technology to grow well into the future.
The new BMH has 25 modern family friendly rooms, all private and one level,
IV therapy, Black Lung Center, Pharmacy, the latest in radiology and laboratory technology, two new surgery suites plus six additional emergency treatment rooms and three new triage rooms. VIEW COMPLETE LIST OF SERVICES
And while the USDA loan is certainly a strong start to funding the new Boone Memorial, it will not cover the entire cost of the diagnostic, treatment and administrative technologies that are a key part of modern health care delivery.
The people of Boone County and the surrounding areas have the rare opportunity to show their thanks for all that BMH has done for the community by ensuring it can continue to serve well into the future.
