Boone Memorial Health held an Autism Awareness and Child Abuse Prevention Ceremony and Walk on Monday, April 24. BMH Psychiatrist Dr. Melissa Moody spoke, followed by a short ceremony, and walk around the hospital.

Employees wore blue in celebration of the national ‘LIGHT IT UP BLUE’ Autism campaign. In addition, pinwheels were used in the ceremony to signify the national ‘Pinwheels for Prevention’ campaign in honor of Child Abuse Prevention.

Special thanks to those BMH employees, leadership team, and community advocates who came together in unity to show support, share stories, and create ways to not only become a more inclusive society, but to work together to prevent child abuse and neglect.
