Jody Asbury, PA-C was awarded the 2023 Robert L. “Bob” Brown Outstanding Service Award at the hospital’s Annual Employee Appreciation Day, held at Boone Memorial Health on Friday, June 23. The award, named in honor of BMH Board of Directors Vice Chair Bob Brown, recognizes the Employee of the Year annually.

As a Physician Assistant, Jody is responsible for all levels of patient care. In addition, she is trained in central line placement, intubation, fracture reduction, advance suturing, splinting, and chest tube placement. Jody’s past experience includes urgent care, internal medicine, orthopedics, surgical care, psychiatry, and ICU. While undergoing schooling and training to become a PA, Jody was a paramedic and flight nurse.

While Jody holds many accolades, the care she displays for her patients is second to none. She is caring, compassionate, and puts others’ needs above her own. She is highly respected by her colleagues and loved by her patients.
