When there is no home support for continued care of a patient after discharge and the patient still requires some extensive treatment regimen, skilled services may be the choice approach. These services can benefit a patient by providing continued inpatient care to promote the highest degree of wellness possible. Effective therapies and treatments are provided to patients daily to increase their functional ability for discharge planning. 

Your attending physician, either at BMH or at another facility, will make the referral for you by calling our Social Services Department.
